David Groothuis

With a diverse career spanning operations management, sales, and estimating across multiple trades - including commercial and residential painting, roofing, windows, and kitchens - David Groothuis brings a wealth of expertise to M.A. Construction Group. Originally from Melville, New York, David studied at the University of Maryland (Go Terps!) before embarking on a dynamic career that also included time in the restaurant industry as a bartender and manager. His ability to connect with people, manage complex projects, and find creative solutions makes him a valuable asset to our team.
Outside of work, David is passionate about ice hockey and enjoys coaching little league. Family is incredibly important to him, and he cherishes the time he spends with his son, Noah, as well as his parents, brothers, sister-in-law, and nephews. Their weekend breakfasts together are a tradition he looks forward to. David also has a deep love for animals and appreciates the joy they bring to everyday life.
