Giving Back with Hurricane Milton
SEFAA Community Service Committee Supports Hurricane Milton Relief Efforts
In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton, SEFAA’s Community Service Committee is stepping up to coordinate relief efforts. We aim to engage our members in supporting affected communities through volunteering, donations, and fostering partnerships with key organizations.
Here’s how we are working to make a difference:
- Volunteer Florida and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster are leading statewide relief efforts. Members are encouraged to participate by signing up for volunteer opportunities or making monetary donations to help rebuild affected areas.
- United Way of Broward County and the Red Cross are mobilizing essential services, providing shelter, food, and medical care to those impacted by the hurricane. Both organizations welcome financial support, volunteers, and physical donations.
- Big Dog Ranch Rescue and Miami-Dade Shelter are calling for urgent assistance to rescue animals left behind by hurricanes Helene and Milton. There is a critical need for volunteers, fosters, and donations of towels, food, and other supplies.
As we continue these efforts, we encourage our members to get involved in any capacity possible, ensuring our community stands strong together in these challenging times.
